In 2014 during an interprofessional global health course held in Shanghai, China a whisper of an idea was formed. What if there was a way that nursing students were able to connect from around the world like our peers in pharmacy and medicine?
In 2015 in Seoul, South Korea at the ICN conference, a murmuring began as it was broached to organizations that not only represented students but also novice nurses. Finally in 2016, the Global Association of Student and Novice Nurses roared into existence to provide that unique and important voice on the global scale.
Nursing Student- an individual who is a student in an entry-to-practice nursing program
Novice Nurse- individual who has completed an entry-to-practice nursing education programme within the last 5 years
